PART TIME PROJECT COORDINATOR GLENDARUEL VILLAGE HALL
Glendaruel Hall is looking to employ a Project Coordinator to deliver its Health and Wellbeing project in 2025. The role is part-time and will run for three to four months.
The project will see the Hall launch a series of classes and one-off events designed to provide opportunities to improve the physical and mental health and wellbeing of this small community. These will include exercise and upskilling classes and events to bring locals together, tackle isolation and provide a focus for social cohesion throughout the year. Engaging with the local community will be a key focus.
The aim is to provide a service to all – whether that is school children, young families, those living alone or the elderly.
The successful candidate will be able to work remotely and in-person, organise their time and deliver quantifiable results.
The role will require strong communication skills, familiarity with computer operating systems such as Word and Excel. Responsibilities include updating the website using WordPress, using social media platforms.
Tasks will include engaging with the community, researching and organising activities, contacting providers, managing the budget to ensure the project is efficiently financed, setting up and maintaining a database of providers and users, marketing and promotion of the clubs to locals and the wider community and reporting back to the Village Hall Committee.
Experience and contacts with service providers in the fields of exercise, crafts and catering will be an advantage.
Working hours will be flexible but it is anticipated that the role will take 2 days (14 hours) per week for 2 months, reducing to 1 day per week (7 hours) per week for a further 2 months. Remuneration will be £15 per hour.
The deadline for applications is Friday 24th February 2025 with interviews scheduled the following week.
